NPs needed Dec 8 to attend Martin and St. Lucie County Legislative Delegation

We are looking for volunteers to attend the St. Lucie and Martin County Legislative Delegation on Monday Dec 8, 2014. This meeting occurs every year - all the legislators that cover a county get toegther to discuss issues for the upcoming year's session and public comment is welcomed. Nurse practitioners and NP students need to be there!

Martin County: 9am-12pm at the Stuart City Hall.

St Lucie County: 1:30pm-5:00pm at Indian River State College, Kight Center in Fort Pierce, FL.

Please contact Michelle Taylor at michelle.np@hotmail.com if you are able to attend either meeting or want more information. There will be talking points for you and at least 1 other NP with "legislative experience" will be at each meeting. We must complete a request form to attend and be heard so I need to hear from you by Monday Dec 1 if you can attend.

We also need to arrange meetings in December with the Representatives for Districts 83, 84 and 55. Some of us already met with Rep Magar in District 82. Ideally we'd like 2-3 people (who are their constituents) for each district. If you would like to meet with your Representative in your district office please contact me and I will help coordinate. We need everyon's involvement if we want to get some legislation passed this session!!
