ACTION ALERT -- Contact your House member on important nurses' legislation! (Forwarded from FNA)

As soon as tomorrow (Thursday), the Florida House is scheduled to consider legislation that would allow Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners (ARPNs) to prescribe controlled substances and to practice independently of a physician. The language is currently included in HB 7113. This wide-ranging health care bill also allows nurses to perform telehealth services.

Please call or email your House member NOW and ask them to support measures in HB 7113 that allow nurses to perform telehealth services AND allow ARNPS to prescribe medically necessary controlled substances and practice independent of a physician.

To find your House member, go to www.myfloridahouse.com and click on the "Representatives" tab at the top. On that page, click on "Find Your Representative."  You can also find them on the FNA website in the legislative section under the Capitol Wiz Icon.
