SB1112/HB1295 Health Care Practitioner Titles and Abbreviations dies in the last day of session

Posted 14 minutes ago by Vicky Stone-Gale

The Health Care Practitioner Titles and Abbreviations bill did not pass through the House or Senate and therefore died on the last day of session which was March 8, 2024.  We need to thank our lobbyist, Allison Carvajal, for her efforts in working with so many members of the legislature on a daily basis to show the negative effects of this bill. She spent countless hours meeting with them and those efforts paid off. We are so grateful for her hard efforts every session, and this was a particularly challenging one.

A more detailed discussion of the legislative bills that passed and did not pass will be provided once Governor DeSantis signs all the bills and finalizes the budget. We want to ensure accurate information on what has been signed into law or vetoed by the Governor.

The members of NPCTC wish to thank Allison Carvajal and Dr. Vicky Stone Gale for their efforts in Tallahassee on the behalf of Florida’s NPs.
