We are called upon at this time to contact the members of this Sub-committee BEFORE THE END OF THIS WEEK! as they will be considering this bill in their meeting MONDAY MORNING! And then, Call AGAIN over the weekend!

It IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU CALL! Do not EMAIL! They won't have time at this point to review emails. In the run up to such meetings, staffers simply keep tick marks of who has called in favor and who has called opposing a legislative proposal. We want to create a groundswell of calls so that all they can report is that there are way more people against it than for it. 

To ease your efforts, here is a list of the phone numbers for all the representatives serving on the Sub-Committee. There's a number in Tally, and one for their home office- call both if you can- but if NOT, THEN CALL ONLY THE TALLY number (850)which appears first. The number in parentheses is the district they represent. Those with an asterisk represent a Treasure Coast District. Other abbreviations are explained at the end of this email.

A quick message that states your clear opposition to HB 583 is all that you need to prepare and deliver. After you review the position statement from AANP on the matter, you may want to cite a bit of the rationale that supports your opposition. 

Because the House Sub-committee takes up the matter on Monday, they are your priority contacts. Move on to the Senate Committee members as time allows, but definitely keep their numbers handy as we will need to do likewise when they take up the companion bill (SB230).
