New name!!! We Are Evolving! Join Us as We Grow and Change!

We were delighted to be joined by some new faces and some of the long-time supporters of the Nurse Practitioner profession on the Treasure Coast for our planning meeting on 10/13/2021.  We covered ALOT of ground in this meeting and you can listen to  the recording of the meeting at this link.  Or you can grab just the highlights from the meeting minutes attached to this announcement.  I would ask that anyone who attended the meeting to please review the minutes and be prepared to offer any suggested edits at our next official meeting when we move to accept the minutes. 

But here are the MAIN HIGHLIGHTS!

We have chosen a new name for our chapter. The name change was necessary for legal reasons explained in the recording. The group chose to follow the lead of our neighbors in Palm Beach with the name: Nurse Practitioner Council of the Treasure Coast.  Over the next few weeks we will be working on changing up the logo and the website to reflect this change and our organizational aim of supporting and promoting the professional practice in our Treasure Coast Community.

If you are wondering how you might become more involved, there are already opportunities presenting themselves! At this point, the MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO IS SHOW UP TO THE MEETINGS we are having! In these meeting we are going to be defining the scope of our organization and this is where your input is so deeply needed!! By show up what I mean to say is, review what we are doing, and give us feedback!  If you can't make the meeting, allow yourself to take a listen to the recording, and send feedback to us.  More than anything, we want this group to be a meaningful service to NPs. We can only achieve that if you let us know what is meaningful to you! You can een comment here in response to this announcement.

One thing we KNOW all Treasure Coast NPs are passionate about is spreading the word about how awesome Nurse Practitioners are! How we change lives every day in every way. How we build resilience and cultivate self0efficacy in our patients. And Nurse Practitioner Week is an opportunity for us to be visible and vocal in that message. This year, we would love to have a highly visible presence during NP Week at Our Community Table, a charity that feeds thousands of those in need across 7 serving locations in our community. Karin Klause is coordinating an effort for us to unite with this agency, and be seen and heard in our service. Please review the announcement on our site to learn how you can be a part of this. Karin is asking for your commitment by 11/4/21.

Our next planning meeting will be focused on finalizing bylaws, and choosing a logo and banner for our website that reflects our new name and mission.

We are looking at possibly one evening next week to hold that meeting via Zoom, so stay tuned and watch for that announcement.
