Red Cross Hurricane Preparedness programs shared with millions of American are now available virtually via the internet to individuals and through groups. Presentations are being offered by the South Florida Region’s trained Preparedness volunteers at no cost via Microsoft Teams, in English and Spanish. Be Red Cross Ready is a national, standardized, free preparedness education curriculum for adults and older youth taught by a certified presenter. The program curriculum is designed to help people understand, prepare for, and respond appropriately to disasters. Be Red Cross Ready utilizes a whole community approach to preparedness education. Preparedness and safety information for older adults and individuals with disabilities, access, or functional needs is woven into the curriculum.
